So yes, for two nights straight, we were super sosyal! And we got to bring out our inner Gordon Ramseys which made both nights all the more memorable!
El Nido, you're next! See you this Sunday!
_A bazillion episodes of Top Chef, Masterchef and Hell's Kitchen inspired us to go gastronomic crazy as Karen and I celebrated our first year anniversary. We took turns treating each other to a fine dining experience - me bringing her to Lemuria and her taking me to Terry's in Makati. So yes, for two nights straight, we were super sosyal! And we got to bring out our inner Gordon Ramseys which made both nights all the more memorable! El Nido, you're next! See you this Sunday!

Last night, I was able to join Karen and her friends, Ara and BJ for some late dinner at Katipunan. Listening to their conversations about college life and reminiscing on the silly, fun things they used to do as care-free members of the student body got me thinking about my own college experiences. Man, that seemed like such a long time ago. And to think we're not really that old! Time sure does fly by. Whether or not you are having fun. And time does not wait for you to catch up too. You really have to make the most out of what's presented to you at every moment. Running a roll call of my college buds through my head, I think we've done a pretty good job, give or take a few, of rolling with the punches and establishing ourselves in the so called 'real world'. And for that, I am glad. I hate Makati (Manila's business district). Ok well, not really 'Makati' Makati. But rather the distance of it from our house. Why? Because the daily commute, what with the traffic and all to and from the place is very tiring. Which is the very reason why I resigned from my job a few years back and started my own business which operates from the comfort of my own home. The only thing is, my wife still has to go through that daily grind as her office is IN Makati. Which leads to early mornings to beat the traffic and late nights coming home.
